    Hilarious.

If you had watched someone make a mistake like that would you not laugh at them?
Yeah, you should and you probably would because it's a ####ing idiot mistake. I don't see me laughing about my mistakes having anything to do with my sense of humor. It was stupid of me and I laughed at myself about it after it was determined there was no damage, no injuries, really the only thing that came out of it was my embarrassment. Carry on with your goat nuts

I do fine without Facebook... or friends for that matter.
Too much time needed for both.

One of my favorite t-shirts has a flaming wolf, and the words "Lone Wolf"

I am not someone that is so insecure that I have to have constant contact with other people.
Either that, or I am so insecure that I really don't want anyone around me.
A mirrored book could probably be written to fully explain both points of view.

    See my avatar?
    That is a mirrored book.
If you could understand that diagram, you might understand me. Or even Life itself.

    Moose,

The point was.... On facebook if you are linked to someone who is linked to others... You can see what is up.

I made good friends with 5 during my 3 weeks.... Who just happened to be much more facebook savvy than me.
They actually were keeping the watch.... My curiosity ended with the few I couldn't believe DPS passed.

The chick that did the 90 blindside into the imaginary dock..... When we were supposed to be parallel parking, and the stalled the truck leaving the gates with the Proctor.... She actually lasted the longest.

Apparently the city of Houston pays good money to drive a bus??

That seems to be where the majority followed each other to.

One guy I will probably stay in touch with the rest of my life.... Ended up experiencing all the horror stories you read here... Old trucks breaking down, sitting 3-4 days between loads, DM that never answered phone, or returned calls, etc.

I guess there really is a 10%, and I am blessed to have found it. In the meantime I will keep being grateful, because it has been fantastic for me.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Well I turned the truck in Saturday night :biggrin_2551:

A little over a week ago I got a call from someone I met at the school I went to who put me in touch with the owner of a company with a few fleets, his largest being contracted to FedEx Ground. My friend from my school spoke highly of me and I guess I learned it is sometimes about who you know.
I decided to give this a chance. Coming from a mega like Swift to a company where I've shaken hands with the owner and driven around with him in the jump seat for an interview is kind of strange but I really think I like the atmosphere so far.
So I'm now a linehaul driver for FedEx Ground. Exciting and nerve wracking, partly because my truck will run 90 and I'm used to chugging along at 62 in a Swift truck.

Should I have left Swift after such a short time, I'm not sure. It did make me a little anxious but I spoke to my fleet manager and my dispatcher about the circumstances and when I explained the offer they seemed to understand. I made sure to leave on good terms.

Would I turn anyone away from Swift now? Definitely not. I had a really good time there but I knew after a few years I would want more. A truck that would go the speed limit, the ability to pick my own routes, and home time/vacations that weren't set on a corporate calendar.
Swift was a great start for me, I would've gladly stayed there for my first year but shaking hands with the owner of this company, being home every weekend, making 20-30% more for less work just felt right. Not to mention I could always go back if I wanted to.

Well.... Now even my trainer has gone.

After three years, and what appeared to be a pretty solid handle on working the system... It seems things just fizzled out for him since I rode with him 6 months ago.

Certainly is amazing how this company trucks along.. With such an incredible amount of turnover.
