Wow, so much negativity towards OP. If I agreed to haul a load for a certain amount and they paid $400 less than what they agreed to, id be upset too. Im sure no one here would say "oh well" and "that's part of business" if it happened to them........Id try small claims court OP...

400$ late fee or late charge seems harsh.
In some ways depending on what the load paid it would not even be worth hauling it.

I am not late. They accepted the load before they offered me. And they lied the pay cause their mistake.
The load paid 2500 when signed in the morning. And they offered me the load 2100 in the afternoon which they knew the broker will cut the pay. And I refused 2100. So they lied to me, they told me they negotiated to 2500 to let me accept it. When I do my job right , they cut my pay cause their mistake. And they blamed me that I delayed. They can lie this load, how about all the loads I hauled? They can easily lie about any load any pay to any status oos.

We agree: $400 is a harsh fine, but the shipper documented the driver arriving late.
The shipper/broker is the party that initiated the underpayment.
We have Rate Confirmation for $2500.

    Read it!
At 10,DM offered me the load at 2100, and I refused.
At 11, I still negotiated with him about the pay.
Latter he sent me the rate confirmation which signed at 8, paid 2500.
So the question is: you had known the load paid 2500, why you told me it was only 2100? If I accepted 2100, you can steal 400?
Why I refused 2100, then you showed me the 2500 confirmation to cheat me to let me accept the load?
After I delivered and got my 2500, serval weeks then you cut 400?
You think I never save all these messages to prove you are a group of liars or you think I am a dummy?
Status can do once to me like this, they can steal all the status oos all the loads they hauled for them!
Don't blame the broker. Before I post this , I had called her. She told me that status should never accept this load!

So you tell us they offered the load for $2500, but in those texts the highest number I see is $2200. Only place I see the $2500 is on the rate con. Whrn they said it paid $2200, and you got the rate con saying $2500, didn't you stop and wonder? I don't know jack #### about Status, but I assume they get a cut. Unless the $2500 on the rate con was supposed to be TTT. I feel like we are missing some information, your posts and the texts do not add up.

The load is paying $2500 per Rate Confirmation. It is normal that during process of booking/negotiation many other rates are mentioned. To document the final result of negotiation the Rate Confirmation is created.
Weeks later we got underpaid $400 which is a harsh fine, but the shipper documented the driver arriving late. We did not know about this until we received payment for this load.
We notify OOps asap if any underpayment occurs.

But again, we wish you all the best on your path and thanks for the long term relationship.

So why does Status pay the O/O before they get paid? If thats how it works, its your own #### fault if you get underpayed.

Status got this load at 8, paid 2500. At that time I even didn't know about this load. Then DM at 11 offered me this load paid 2100.( why you got a 2500 load and only tell Oo it was 2100? Steal money?) I refused. I didn't have rate confirmation at that time.
So he negotiated with me, tried to push me accept it at 2200, I still refused.
Then he told me the broker offered 2500 and I didn't trust DM ,so I asked the rate confirmation. So he emailed me the 2500 confirmation which signed at 8.
In fact, the load paid at 2500, they cannot find a Oo to pick up following schedule, so they knew the broker will cut 400, they cheated me to accepted the load.
