Wouldn't it be Sunday through Thursday?
Pintlehook and lagbrosdetmi Thank this. -
There is no guarantee in trucking You'll be home every day unless something goes out in your trk or customer takes too long then schnider will put u in a hotel.if this is straight local you may work Mon thru Fri and have weekends off.I wouldn't plan on having the same hrs and days unless u have a dedicated account.
-
yes it would
-
I just don't understand why it would be advertised as local and that I'd be told that it was if there is a chance that I wouldn't be home every day. I mean is that something that really happens to new drivers?

I do Chicago Rails and with the mention above about being stuck in traffic, there is a whole list of other things that are going to eat the clock up while being at the actual rail yard...
With the .37 cpm pay I certainly hope they are offering some type of wait/delay pay while stuck at the rail yards... -
No nothing like that, the milage per week was high tho so that's why I took it

Try it out and see if it works for ya. A group of drivers will never agree on anything, for instance somebody said they'd rather run OTR than start at 3 or 4 in the morning. That start time works out perfectly for my life and I'd rather stick a dull butter knife in my eye than run the road. With your limited experience I don't think you have anything to lose. Good luck.

not saying it isn't local but anything can happen where u won't get home every now and again.local drivers stay in hotels all the time ask recruiter if you'll be driving a day cab or one with a sleeper. .if the ad said a local job then that's what it is.just saying unless you'll be on an account then plan on the LDS dictating your days and hr.ask recruiter if you'll be on a dedicated account

1800-2300??????????? That's high?
1800x .37 = $666.00
2300x .37= $851.00
And that's before taxes.... And that's for a 5 day work week... OUCH....
You can make that and more driving a forklift in a warehouse in Chicagoland...
