i ran the road, and used a sleeping bag. no need for sheets, blankets, comforters, or bunny slippers.

real men don;t wear bunny slippers.

but they do wear flip flops.

Hand, winters coming along. Get some serious boots. Standing in deep snow for any length of time will really cripple your ability to walk and even drive. I'm not going to ask why you're going to Western, but just do your best and bring your A gam every time you play. If your diligent, people will notice. Hang out at the full service truckstops, and keep your ears open...you might find better opportunity. Luck in battle.

Basically went with WE because they are the only flatbed operation that allows pets that worked with me. I know there are bad reviews about them, but there are bad reviews about every company. I've deduced that the ones that moan and ##### are just not willing to work. This is just a company to get my foot in the door.

I use queen size, they never slip off the mattress. And I get red ones, so if I bleed I don't have to wash them.

Just a door stop. Be sure to remember that. Don't drink the KoolAid. You can always tell the guys who've been in the Company KoolAid. They wear company swag, know the company motto, got a company calendar, swear that it's the best company ever, follow company policy religiously, and all the company Deskjockeys to rule their lives with an iron fist.

    Adios

    PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS!!!!!!!
    Triple speaks gospel.
Also, be real wary of other company drivers wanting to chew the fat about your thoughts on the job/shop. Keep your real thoughts to yourself, as there's a good chance they're just company anal-lickers that are looking for a reason to throw you under the bus (thereby making themselves "look better" to management, at least in their minds....)
Avoid the politics, put your time in, soak up as much knowledge as you possibly can, than advance your position in the industry elsewhere....

    Safe travels hand...

You're talking about that non driving SOB with a pocket full of dimes. Got a flat spot on the top of his head, brown spot on his lips, fingerprints on his ears, and teeth marks in his pillow. Gets you in a conversation, and then runs back and tells office personnel that you're spreading hate and discontent.

Yeah, that guy is at every company.

Amen to @TripleSix and @Mudguppy !! If you, @Spreadneck , are any good at all, you wont be with WE for too long. Just keep your nose clean and to the grindstone. Protect your rear and your CSA/DDAC. Always throw more securement than you think is necessary. And be safe out there!

Twin XL. Target has them. XL are for dorm beds I think. Regular twin fitted sheets will be to short for a lot of truck mattresses. The sheets they sell in the truck stops are over priced but they often have the top sheet attached to the bottom one. It's helpful but something you could do yourself if your handy.
