I drive a 2015 KW T680 and am experiencing the little red light in the overhead compartment, directly below the CB randomly going dark. When it does however, usually one or more of my switch backlights goes dark as well. Now, when I shut the truck off and turn the ignition back on, or start the truck, the lights will come back on.
Does anyone else have this problem ? What's the cause, and what is the remedy ?
It doesn't really cause any problem, it's just aggravating.
Any help or advice is welcome.
Thank you all.
Blessings !!!

Duct tape

Seriously tho, pull your CB and see if you have moisture in that area, these are notorious for leaking water in through the clearance/id lightsKarl Matthews Thanks this. -
Mine actually does leak up there, but I never paid any attention to if the light went out only when it was raining, or just random.
Thank you. Blessings !!! -
When mine goes out the suspension gauge goes out as well.
Totally random doesn't happen just in rain but happens enough I always check it when I start the truck. Only cure is turn it off and restart it then it's on.
So far the shop can't duplicate it so they can't find exactly what needs fixed.
Leaks something terrible up there. When it rains really hard and I brake it pours out from the headliner down the inside of the windshield on my side. Otherwise it's just a drip drip drip from the center under the radio compartment
Luckily my radio is too big for the hole so I have it mounted elsewhere.Karl Matthews Thanks this. -
I don't have a suspension gauge, but I'll have to see if anything else is affected other than the switch lights.

Ours are pretty well equipped. It's a nice addition. Once you learn over time what weights give what readings on the gauge it's pretty easy to get your weight set on most loads without hitting a scale unless it's just really heavy.
Overall it's a good truck it's just that leaking that drives me nuts. They can't seem to find or stop it. I'd rather have it pour out once or twice under braking than constantly dripping -
The leak is from the cab lights take it to the dealer and it's a free fix just ha d mine done

What ever happened to QUALITY?

No Kidding! Drip drip drip? And pours when you brake heavily? And this is a 2015 truck? Good grief, I'd be parking it on the pad outside service until it's fixed. That's beyond ridiculous.flyingmusician Thanks this.

Actually mine is a '16.
The shop has sprayed it with high pressure hoses and it gets washed every weekend on the yard and they can't duplicate the leak or the electrical gremlin
But let me get on the road with it and it rain......
It has a standing open work order on it to get it on the road and put some miles on it the next weekend I'm in and it rains lol
