At the Gary terminal today. Had a preplan for a Costco load, but when I did my pre-trip this morning I found a blown wheel hub axle seal. Made an absolute mess of that wheel. So I called and cancelled my load and headed for the terminal. Needed a b service also and while I'm here I'm gonna get my DOT physical which expires next month. If I'm gonna be down, I may as well be productive.

Ha! I just did my 10 there last night. Rolled out about 3am. Now at Lancaster yard waiting for Costco delivery in the morning. What a small world! We probably passed each other on either us75 or us69, depending on the time you left or direction you took.

My truck finally made it in to the shop this morning, and it was finished around 1500.
I'm really lucky this shop keeps spare DPF filters in stock or it would have been a lot longer.
No problem getting a load out, even though I heard freight was really bad here.
I pick up tomorrow morning about 20 miles from here, and then I'm heading to WV to deliver on the 16th. -
Rest area on I-95 in Maryland. By the time that I picked up my load this afternoon in Jessup was rush hour and by the time that I might have gotten to I-81 would have had problems finding parking. On my way to Huntsville, AL with a Disney on Ice load. Then will pick up on Thursday in Cullman and go to Dallas and then pu in Mesquite to Denver and then Denver to Owensboro by Weds. Will end up with 3K for the week after this 2K week.

I could never be stacked with loads like that. It would stress me too much, not knowing what will come next or be possible.
Maybe I'm just getting to old to be thinking that long term.
Case in point...
I was stacked with 2 loads going out of Manteno terminal, and I was face to face with the planner so there were no surprises.
Just after picking up the first my DPF filters decided to clog for good, and I had to give up the second load before I picked it up to get it fixed at Edwardsville.
Stuff happens. But if I'm late for one stop, everything after that will have to be adjusted or lost.
I run into more problems, it seems, when I am stacked.
That's why I like to run day by day, and not get ahead of myself.
It just seems to make more work for everyone involved. -
I've all but given up on stacked loads if a Swift planner had anything to do with. Over 75% of my Swift stacked loads go bad. Command is a very different animal.

You must have had a productive talk with your DM! LOL

OKC at the Petro, was trying to get another load set up before I had to start my clock to deliver this morning. The planners in Lancaster told me that everyone east of Texas was short on freight yesterday so looks like I get to burn an hour from my clock and go back to sleep.

Peelot in Knoxville, TN. Well my stack fell apart. The load from Mesquite to Denver cancelled. The customer so my DM got to work on it because of the load from Denver to KY. So now instead, picking up LG in Fort worth going to SLC for Monday and then he says that he will have a MOM load for me for Weds so still can finish the week okay. Yes Innkeeper the talk was very productive. remember that he himself is also a ex l/o and he is a little peeved about what happened to me last week. Sometimes just have to get on him a little.

now in a hotel. This morning the truck decided to take a dump. Been having some issues with starting the last few weeks and thought that just not enough voltage so this morning finally decided that it was just going to crank and crank. Tow truck showed up and sprayed that crap in it and still no start. Not getting fuel. Now KW (MHC, and I hate dealing with MHC) has the truck. I asked them to keep me posted on the truck and they tried to tell me that they have to call Swift. Told them not only no, but hell no. they are to call me first. My truck, not Swifts. I am the one paying, not Swift. They wanted to give me grief about it. I HATE MHC. At least my DM told me that he will pull some strings and still get some decent miles before Wednesday
While I was waiting for the tow truck, get a call from the Ocala planners, wanting to me run surge in Alabama after I delivered. Been there as far as Walmart, done that, not doing again
