Ok so I have seen some older threads out there about Knives, but nothing I can really answer my question with. I have a fixed Blade, Blade is about 3-4" long, in a sheath. It's a Gerber to be more specific. Aside from company policy, is that I'm to have when coming to a DOT inspection?

What is your question?

Sorry not sure how my sentence got all messed up lol it sounded good when I posted it, now that I read it I as well scratching my head lol.
Is it a DOT violation to have possession of a 3-4" fixed Blade knife on the truck? I planned on keeping it in my duffle bag in the storage compartment on the side of the truck. -
Weapons are not illegal - despite what the media and the liberals say
lfod14, Straight Stacks, KB3MMX and 8 others Thank this. -
I haven't had any issues ever and I carry a gun. But as long as it's in your sleeper or your compartment you're good. I believe. it can't be any longer than from the tip of your middle finger to your wrist.

I just know CMV are under more restrictions and regulations. Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't get into trouble for having a fixed Blade knife on the truck.

Is that handle included?
-
Good question.
I've seen quite a few of these hanging off belts and at least 6-8" long.

This is the knife in question

That was from my understanding to carry on person. But the blade the handle didn't matter. But as long as keeping it in the truck I'm not, sure,if there is an actual lawErik Blazer Thanks this.
