Brehon, if you notice a red haired dude wearing a black underarmor polo and dark red Vans, maybe hanging out and working with folks on the pre trip at campus, say hi. That's me.

Will do. Well I take my final tomorrow. Really should have done it today but I second guessed myself. The great thing is once I have my dot I have a trainer. Sean the trainer /tester told me today if a trainer asks let them know I am taken for 1/1.
Sigh of relief is almost there!!FullMetalJacket, Highway101 and Chucktshoes Thank this. -
How's the instructor classes goin for ya?
-
Going good. We're having fun and I have become more confident in my own knowledge as the class has progressed. I'll admit, I'm nervous about taking a student in my truck, but it's what I think is a good nervousness. I want to make sure I do right by them and are able to equip them with the knowledge they need to not just pass the test, but be able to drive safely for their TnT trainer.michaelg, darthanubis and Brehon Thank this.

And you should be.
Relax any PSD would be lucky to have you. When I came though PSD I was incredibly lucky to have gotten the instructor I did he was remarkable. The good experience I had in PSD set the tone for a career that I love. Now I took a love to trucking anyway but I still, years later believe he is one of the reasons why and I'm forever grateful for it. You'll be one of the good ones too. And btw I was his second student so I don't think it always matters how many students an instructors had, I think its the person.Last edited: Oct 15, 2015

Well I have a trainer. I was given the option to train local or otr. Opted for the full monty after talking to the trainer. All licenses set doing blindside tomorrow and I am all set and ready.
darthanubis and Chucktshoes Thank this. -
You've come such a long way. With everything you went through in the beginning, to the "go to" driver you have become........you're going to make a great instructor.
And, your doing it for all the right reasons. I know you will never forget the initial struggles & I believe that it will make you that much better of an instructor.
Glad to see you went through with it. We need more guys like you.
Oh yeah, how were those reactions of the other folks in class when they found out they were going to actually get tested on pretrip per exact verbage?
The looks on the folks in mine were priceless! Especially those who had been out for several years.
Puppage, michaelg, Chucktshoes and 2 others Thank this. -
Went out with my trainer today. 5 minutes of driving and then stupid set in. We stopped got something to drink laughed a little then went at it again. Much better but a long way from where I want to be. Laundry is done and it's time to sleep. Bags are packed in case we have a load tomorrow. Figured it was better to try and get this down now vs tomorrow morning. Night all
darthanubis, FullMetalJacket and nofreetime Thank this. -
Don't sweat it. I was beating myself up because that's what I do. But trucking of teaching me to take it easy. I'm applying the Smith System to my life Lol. Giving everything, everyone, including myself space. Space is time, with time, I can react better to situations. Wtf did I just type?!? Lol!Highway101 and Brehon Thank this.
