National truck protection in their base warranty only covers anything oil touches. There is separate coverage available for injectors and sensors but comes at a pretty heavy cost. There is no after treatment coverages available. I have never had to deal with NTP on any of their chassis coverages. As for dealing with NTP from a dealer stand point they are a pain in the ###. Case in point. Had a D13 in shop for broken valve. We requested to replace head. NTP said to replace failed valve, spring, seat, seal, retainer and lock. We sent to a machine shop and installed head. Needless to say it still failed. Long story short NTP spent 27,000 for a repair that should have been less than 10k. And...big part was dragged their feet. Truck was in our shop for 5 months. I will look over the other as that is more a sales dept pitch. I can see what is covered and length of coverage etc. Will post more after review

 

Volvo Gen2 warranty is being offered on trucks less than 5 model years old and have under 600k miles. It is a 6 mo base policy and covers most of what oil touches. Also included is injectors and some chassis coverage ac etc. Also available for purchase is a 12 no/100k plan and a 24/200 plan. The plan is offered by Volvo used truck sales departments and is being administered by National Truck Protection. My advice is to check what is offered by Volvo and compare to NTP. Check your cost and coverage and make a decision. I did not see any sensor coverage offered on gen2.
