Well at least some of yall still like it. I was getting a little nervous on switching
-
Still the same program from what I gather, Just a little more of a headache now for empty's but something tells me that will smooth out once they get the tlr pool fixed.
-
Glad im company im writing down all shippers and dy locations that i go to that i usually see plenty of empties. Hopefully they wont chage up that much
-
pretty optimistic that will happen arent you? Oh yeah, you havent worked here.
sicksfeet Thanks this. -
You don't have to work somewhere to understand the dynamics of how a trailer pool works. If they work on it and succeed it will help more then it will hurt. It's the same thing Knight has been doing on the refrigerated side for about a year now. It sucked at first and made things a royal pain when it came to finding a empty any where near you. Now they have them pretty balanced out and normally if your dropping one somewhere there is a tlr waiting for you on the other end.
So next time don't just simply dismiss a comment when you have not given it long enough to pan out. Try to have some faith in a company YOU work for instead of thinking all the time they are out to get you. Bad trailer positioning hurts their bottom line just like it does yours.Last edited: Oct 18, 2015
playamwj12, RStewart, xlsdraw and 3 others Thank this. -
Or we can both lighten up and appreciate joke for what it was.

Looked like more of a statement to me then a joke. But either way, I really do hope the tlr pool gets fixed for you guys. Deadheading 200 miles round trip for a tlr with no compensation other then 25$ is quite stupid.

For ICs absolutely. I see far too many drivers sitting. So if was really as bad as they are claiming then they could dedicate some company drivers to correcting this. Instead of penalizing their business partners.
Steve wrote a spot on post in regards to this. -
Leaving SNI to go to Landstar? Better have some deep pockets, You will be paying your tolls Out Of Pocket, lucky if you see a Fuel Surcharge, "Oh", the agents says, "it's already built into the rate." You will be completely on your own, there is no infrastructure to support you. It will take at least one year to learn the system and build broker relationships.
Rates are down this year, and they may even go lower, this is the cycle of trucking. If someone can't make it work at SNI, they will go under at Landstar. Oh you'll be driving 200 miles for nothing to get a trailer.
Many of us learned these lessons years ago, it's going to be interesting and fun to watch greed and over confidence chase the weak but ####y ones out of the business.scottlav46, RStewart and drvrtech77 Thank this.
