Take home during training

Its all before taxes.You're basically making nothing more then spending money.

 

I would guess 45 to 50 I'm still in stage 3 I started In may. I run on average 2500 miles a week and take home 7 to 750 after tax and insurance is taken out. Make sure as your looking at company'sthat you look at the other pay such as detention pay. We get it after 2 hours no matter what and some weeks that's a big part of my check. You will sit at receivers so youll want to get paid

 

I think after the training period is over 50000 is very doable here if you want to work. A lot of the guys here go out monday thru Friday them average 22 to 2300 miles a week. I go out 12 days and home for 2 or 3 days sometimes I take more time like this trip I came home Thursday and not rolling out until Tuesday. The company policy is 1 day off for ever 5 days out but it's not followed. Lol. I felt before I started here and still feel that hummer has the best training program I'm the industry it is geared to help each driver at there own pace. I have seen them work for days with drivers that are having a hard time with something. I also think it's ice that we get to work with more then one trainer because everyone does things a little different so it has been good to see different ways to do things. I was given a 2013 freightliner to drive in may and it is due to be traded in the next month it has only been in the shop twice besides pm's. Another guy I went to orientation with had 3 or 4 issues so they just put him in a different truck to keep him moving. You will not sit if you don't want to here they will keep you moving.
There are a few things I don't like here for one it is a forced $.10 cent prediem I would not do that if I didn't have to also we run from Iowa to the east coast a lot like 85% of the loads go east so you have to deal with union lumpers witch may be the lowest form of life on this planet it is not unlikely to sit 5 to 8 hours to get unloaded if your on time for your appointment if your late it can be days

 

You are paid for orientation after you are on your trainers truck, maybe a week or two after your seated and rolling.

Team training pay is $325.00 or less after taxes and deductions. They say pretax of course it's $400 non hazmat/$450 hazmat.

If you need money now I recommend you take as few optional deductions as possible, such as medical, dental etc. All these will be taken out weekly from your training pay leaving you with possibly less than the $325.00 a week I suggested.

I have been OTR status for 12+ months teaming. A lot folks call this company a starter company , but I have been satisfied and plan on sticking around longer. I have been dry van majority of those months seeing on average $750wk. If you can, go Reefer it's literally Coast to Coast, my first week reefer my partner and I pulled over 6500 miles.

Most trips are 2,000+ per run, you can get about 3 loads a week, 1 stop per load.

 

When i started my training in april 2014 ; $525 a week before taxes was the pay..with my hazmat endorsement of course.

After taxes looking at around $400ish a week take home depending if you have any deductions, insurance, child support, etc...

After training i was taking home $800-$1000 a week after taxes with per diem... ONLY because i have no deductions in my check like insurance,child support, 401k, etc...

 

I had a coleman refrigerator 12volt plug in. Laptop to watch dvd movies. My codriver had a small tv with digital hd antenna to watch the nfl games on fox or cbs local channels.
