SNI should install better airsuspensions if they want to run tags.
At the very least you should be able to deflate the tag.
The beancounters were so cheap it is costing them $$$

They actually tagged him with preventable's for those? Wow. Can't say I'm surprised though.
-
Yeah, we actually do have that ability, we are able to adjust the bags on both the drive and tag
-
I have a tag axle and every time I'm in gravel my tires spin. Horrible traction. They are supposedly getting rid of them. I sure hope mine goes before winter
-
Can you completely deflate the tag?
-
You can completely deflate the bags, the wheels stay on the ground but the bags aren't adding all the pressure from the weight
-
First off they need to actually do "real" alignments to the trucks. My trucks been pulling to the right since I got it. Had them do an "alignment" on my last pm. According to the mechanics at both the Fontana OC and Laredo OC, schneider has the alignments done using a tape measure....
Truck still pulls to the right, non-matched steers sure as hell doesn't help. Also causing premature and uneven wear. -
If I understand you correctly, The tag buttoms out thus not all the weight is transferred to the drive?
-
You can't connect a tag axle to a drive axle. There is no differential to hook to. A tag axle won't help fuel economy, all it does is save weight. If you dump the air out ,the remaining drive axle will indeed carry all the weight. You want 34k on a single axle? Good luck with that
-
Btw, a tag axle wears out tires faster because they tend to bounce around more
