I have kept my mouth shut, listened and learned....untill now. (hence my post count, lol)
Just wanted to introduce myself. Hi! So I just got off the plone with Greenbay, and set up my closing date for my 2015 freightshaker. Orientation will be in GB either this coming monday (if they can pull it off) the 2nd or the 9th. Im excited.
A little about me. Been driving for 2 years for Crete. I run like a raped ape, and go home every 2 weeks. Things have been good, but my asperations have always been on making my own way. It is just how I am built I guess.
In my previous life, I was in finance for 10 years, and 8 of that was my own company. So I am one of those numbers guys. Businessman first, truck driver second. (Unless Im driving, cause that #### will get you killed) Im optimistic.
I have been researching and reading for months. I want to thank alot of you on here for what you have posted (good and bad) about your experience. It has gone a long way, and helped me greatly in my preperations. Freightwhipper, DFO, Tennman, Sadwar, Fatdaddy, and Dipschitt. I want to thank you guys the most. Months of posts have helped me in putting the pieces together, so much so that when I spoke with my crm yesterday, I pretty much already knew what to expect.
So in short, you all have a new IC to contend with, lol. If you happen to see a black Cascadia tearing it up out of Kingsport, TN, that might be me! Give me a wave, or a chat on here, Ill be sure to give it back!

Let me be the first to say:
DOOOoooooomm! GLOOOoooom! You will fail at the fleece! Your dog will leave you and your wife will bite you. Bums on the street will feel sorry for you and give you a dime.
Now you've had the obligatory naysayer you can move on and do your thing.scottlav46, 91B20H8, tazman74 and 3 others Thank this. -
Good luck out here. That load board is a little overwhelming at first. It's a big change to go from no choice to literally hundreds at once. Running like a raped ape won't get you paid on choice. You gotta reverse the norm. Run numbers in your head like it's nobody's business and try to go as few miles as possible.
