Spoke with SNI today and the tractor they found for me wont actually be ready unyil dec. So, I picked a new tractor. A 2014 evo with 210k on it. 70k more miles than the original 2015, and its 'champagnee' ooooo....$20k less purchase price, -50ish to payment, +50ish to my maint. So apples to apples, im good with this.

Tractor will close in Charlotte at orientation on the 2nd instead of GB. Anything I should know about Charlotte? Does it matter? Just saw a couple posts knocking Charlotte. Is this something that will affect me after orientation?

And....dumb question...How do you guys tell the diff between an ic truck and company? They all look the same to me! Lok

Charlotte sucks. That's all you need to know lol. IC cascadias don't have the road to nowhere on the door. No decals. That's the only difference.

That's alot of miles for the money you're paying.
You might want to think it over..it may be better to wait.
Get them to send you actual pics of the truck.
When I was at orientation I had a chance to look at a 2014 KW T680 with 72k on it..it was the truck I was going to lease..turned out the pics they sent me were when it was new..truck was in bad shape.
Guy who showed up at GB walked away from it..don't blame him a bit.
I'm glad I went with a new one.
You have no idea if the guy before you did the maintenance or not or what kind of driver he was.
    So CAVEAT EMPTOR!!

    Good luck with your decision.

It's not a road to no where, it's a road to perdition.

Also check out Chicken Wings thread on things he looked for on buying a used truck.

Yeah, I requested pics when I saw it had 200k on it. I thought the maint record would be with the truck, but thinking about it now, im going to call tomorrow and get them. This truck is still a much better deal thn i was getting through triad freightliner. They wanted 78000 for a 2011 cascadia with 500k on it. I ran...

Definitely want to shop and compare. Even shopping for a new truck, I found over $20k variance in pricing
