Yes this would effect our short haul drivers that run under the 150 mile exemption.

Would be nice to see this go away! Sure would make my sketch pad er log book look cleaner lol
Mr.X Thanks this. -
Oh, it is still in effect.
It is just that everybody and their brother are getting exemptions from it. -
I haven’t found one single reputable source, and if you haven’t heard anything about a repeal Im guessing it's b.s and ain’t happening.
i have a route where I can use split sleeper and knock that 30 out with my 2 hr split. Most of our guys have tight little routes and sometimes end up shutting down 15-30 minutes from the yard, all depends on what kind of day the customers were having, lol. Thanks for the reply! -
Basically what that means is that it only matters if you have to do a log, and even then, you only have to show it on paper as not driving after your eighth hour without having had it.
It's a total waste.Mr.X Thanks this. -
Won't be much longer and we will have e-logs, and the local trucks will just have to drive 5 mph along the shoulders for 30mins a day, because the fuel islands will be full, lol. I hear the safety guys are finally learning about the People net three finger bird!
20 yrs from now the "outlaw drivers" will be launching denial of service attacks...
Take care guys, and give this horse a proper burial.
