I can elaborate on this from personal exp. It is NOT dot mandated to have a sleep study done for a med card. They recommend a couple of parameters to go by, ie. Weight, blood pressure, neck circumference, and snoring. With Crete if you hit 2 out of the 4, they will send you for a company sponsored sleep study BEFORE you are officially hired. Once you are diagnosed with apnea it IS dot mandated to stay within the perameters set forth by the doctor.

Concentra will not issue a medical card without proof. Another clinic I went to reviewed old data and just approved me. I'm sure I could take them to court perhaps but I just won't go to concentra ever again. Not disagreeing with you but at least some clinics will shut you down

That's if you have sleep apnea, which I agree if you do follow your doctor's recommendations.
I was just saying so far FMCSA doesn't regulate drivers for it but they do express guidelines for those with it.
My main question is WHY Schneider gets to dictate and monitor a drivers health and privacy laws do not apply and drivers are ok with it?.
It's a question without reasonable answer I understand. -
No, you are exacly right Tennman. Me being diagnosed was a litteral nightmare. I basically gave Crete the authority, because I wanted to work there, but its still a trap setup. In hindsight, im glad, ny quality of life has vastly improved, but they litterally 'stirred the pot'.

Diabetics have to provide certain info do they not?
And you know why anyway. So why ask it?
Besides, what you are raising has little to do with what a diagnosed driver is asking here. -
Surprise !!!

And it doesnt look like a company is the driving force in this although I am sure ins plays a role on their end.
