The insurance is some of the best available and you pay nothing monthly. It is very reasonable for your share when you visit the Dr. office. Prescriptions are the cheapest available anywhere. You may get them to pay your hotel in Louisville while in training, sometimes they do and especially where they need drivers bad. It doesn't hurt to ask them. There is plenty of freight that will take you thru Lexington or even Richmond. After you get hired and they post openings for Georgetown Ky, you may want to transfer to be closer to home. Good luck and don't get frustrated at first because it will be completely overwhelming at first, but it is a great profession after you get good.

Thank you for the reply. I really think I'll like it here. You wouldn't happen to know where there is safe parking in Richmond would you? I've seen a couple trucks park in front of Kohl's, but it is posted no parking. Have also see a couple behind Sav a lot but it is pretty secluded there.

I took my camper to the KOA, a month there is a lot cheaper than even the discounted rate that Cooper offers.

I don't know about parking in Richmond, but I pay to park at a small trucking company's lot. I bet you could find a small trucking, construction or some other line of business with secure extra space. I would rather pay a monthly fee than worry if my rig is going to be secure.

Im scheduled to do a road test with JC Monday, any advice???
-
And how are the benefits?? Im currently an independent contractor for a driveaway company, love the freedom but not having benefits suck!

The benefits are unbeatable, they still have the "Cadillac" insurance plan that not very many jobs have anymore. Pension isn't as good as it once was, but it doesn't cost you a dime and you can do a 401k with your money which you should in my opinion. Depending on where you will work as whether you have good equipment or not.

I live about 45 minutes away from the ft wayne Terminal...pardon my ignorance but what's a Cadillac insurance plan?
