I never had much use for SSB in a vehicle unless I was setting still.......and I hate sitting still when I'm driving, even though it pays $14.00 an hour!

Why not? I make contacts on 38LSB while rolling all the time.

Now you know it "can" be done...... I remember my dad had a radio box that he used. Radio, amp and a set of jumper cables !!!

You might try a slipseat box to solve your where to put your radio issue. Found one on ebay awhile back. just had to clean up the wiring a bit. It has space for the cb as well as the am/fm, has it's own speakers. I looked for one new but all the websites I checked had them listed as out of stock.
I see Hayseed beat me to it.

Oh, Mike is just lazy !! Since he retired from his real job he hasn't been worth a darn. No base set up yet, hasn't finished his "honey do" list, hasn't even made time to go fishing like he promised himself he would................

LOL.....don't stay home long enough to get anything done! In answer to the location question and using a slipseat box, I carry enough stuff I don't want to add to it, plus the shelves are usually full so all my junk goes in the floor and the passenger seat. No place to put a slipseat box....especially in the T680! I'll figure something out. It wouldn't be too hard to come with something to strap down on the dash if it comes to that. Plus that is where I prefer my radio to be located anyway.

Do both antennas run to the cb? Or is there a splitter box somewhere and one is for the stereo and the other cb? Wondering because I also drive a new kw and don't want to replace both antennas if I don't have to.

I looked at the coax and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing two coax cables running into the PL 259. The antennas are the type that work for am/fm/cb/weather and probably TV....which means they are barely efficient for any of the above at best.
