My kids are welcome to stay at home when they reach adulthood under these conditions:

    • They are to go to college and get a Graduate Degree
    • They are to either work at a job in the family business or find work on their own
    • No adult "sleep-overs" in OUR HOUSE
    • They are to help around the house with chores
    • Contribute to the house such as buying groceries and paying rent
    • Pay their own bills

Otherwise they know where the door is when they reach adulthood at :)biggrin_2559:) 18.

Sorry but I would never go to that extreme!! It would be nice though if companies called you back just to let you no that you did not get the job, no explanation neccesary, that way you can continue on with your search, child and adult alike, but that is on the flip side of the coin. I dont care what is thought of this situation, but I will ask one question, have you ever been in this allstar situation??? I am glad I only have one more year of it, My 15 year old has torn cartilidge in his rotator cuff, from pitching, so it was a given not to make the team this year. I see that everyone is looking at this as the big bad parents, but I tottaly disagree, maybee in some cases, but I feel it leaves a horrible presidence for the kids, we are not talking corporate America here we are talking about children, and I mean young like 10 11 years old, try explaining that to someone of that age??? Sure Johnny do well , excell to your very best, push yourself to the limit, but hey you wont make it far because you dont have the right name, or know the right people????? I am sorry, but to me the whole thing is a horrible example to the children! When they7 are older, they understand it more. If you have never experienced your childs heart broken into a lot of pieces, while you stood by helpless, you do not know, to find the only reason was weight,or because the coach did not like that child! I am sorry but I can only agree with some of the posts on this. I had know prior knowledge of these parents that fought for my son, until it was all said and done, and I was not one of them, I never say anything accept for in the privacy of my own home! I am not one of those whinners, except to my husband:yes2557:

Just like the song by Bucky Covington. You win some you lose some. None of us ever had the game cancelled because we weren't picked for a team.

I got so worked up over that, that I falied to mention that cancelling the games was a bit rediculous, and not fair to those who did make the team!!:biggrin_25524:
