Check into companies beyond your Schnieder's, Swift, and Werner's and see what school's they have on their approved lists. You might be surprised to see which school's are on the approved list. If you are set on going with a mega carrier there probably isn't a big difference where u get the stamp on your license, but the companies that you have to recruit have a preference. I already did my research. And I also saved myself $4,000 in the process!

Word out to those that think the WIA is just free money sitting on the table waiting for you to spend: They do have case managers that follow up with you to make sure you are employed and putting the money to use. They have had some briefings with the students that are using it and they require you to report in similar to an unemployment office and explain your employment progress and status for a given period of time.

To each their own on company size. I personally don't care who writes my check or if I'm just a truck number to them. As long as I get my two years otr experience I'm happy. After that, I'm going to fuel delivery. On a side note, I stick with the "megas" because of employment and mvr issues. As far as WIA, I can deal with phone calls on my employment status since they paid for my new career. Like everything else, each person has their preferences
