Day 1 I started fresh after a restart with 70 hours available the next day. On Day 8 I did not work at all and had a total of 32.5 hours worked in the last 7 days. At the end of day 8 I had 37.75 hours available the next day. My 34 hour restart ends at 01:00 am on day 9. On the recap page, where do I put my 70 hours available tomorrow? On day 8 or on day 9? Or do I just work XX # of hours on day 9 and subtract that from 70 and enter that # on the total hours available next day line?
Another 70 Hour 8 Day Question.

Day 8 show off duty restart. Day 9 when you do your recap after the 34, work xx hrs and subtract it from 70. Then on your recap you can zero everything except day 9.

sounds like you don't need to fool with dealing with "restarts" and where to put this or that (not logging any more work/drive time then you are) . Just do a continual recap and forget about the rest and you'll always have ample hours to get done the little drive/duty time you're doing. But if you want, If you do sit enough to get another restart, just start at zero the next day and forget about recapping earlier days, and put "RS" in the day before you start logging again.

You put the 70 hrs available on the day you actually have 70 hours available. Not trying to sound rude, but you didn't have 70 hrs available till after 0100 on day 9. On day 8 you only had 37.75.
