No Jim Palmer is owned by wil Trans. Wil Trans is out of springfield mo and they have an alliancce or partnership with Prime. They pull prime trailers and loads. They lease equipment from primes leasing company. There school and training is exactly the same as Prime and if you go to Springfield you will be at the Prime School for orientation but then with a Wil Trans Trainer. If you go to Montana then it will be a little different as no Prime school there but it is the same format as far as going out with a trainer. Wil Trans owner Darrell Wilson will tell you that they are an independent company from Prime.. I do not know what if any say Prime has over Wil Trans/ Jim Palmer but you will pull Prime Trailers and at least some Prime Loads.Milkman719 Thanks this.

No they did not Wil Trans bought Jim Palmer from 2 Chicago business men who bought Jim Palmer out of bankruptcydamonarnold816 Thanks this.

And prime owns wil-trans... wil-trans was bailed out by prime, and is leased exclusively back to prime. You can split hairs if you want, but wil-trans is part of prime. Without prime, wil-trans does not stay in business, or even exist.
-
you will ONLY pull prime loads.
-
Well you are wrong.. Prime does not own wil trans but yes they are a contractor for them. Just as they have a partner ship with Earl Henderson but they do not own Earl Henderson. I was not splitting hairs I was giving the gentlemen the facts.. I think the Wil-Trans founder and CEO Darrell Wilson would also disagree with you as to if Prime owns them... It makes know difference to me I merely was answering the persons question.Milkman719 Thanks this.

These big companies are making $3.00,$4.00+ a mile off of the driver that is paid $0.35 cents per mile. What a rip off.
The Patriot Thanks this. -
When I started trucking you had to go to one of the Mega Carriers for at least one year to get experience. Then you ran like hell to a smaller better paying company. At least that's what I did!
elnacho_248, Voodoo Pyg, The Patriot and 1 other person Thank this.
