It's about $1600 more plus driveline and shifter.

    Thanks, lots of character!

Well you asked, I'll #### around on stupid questions, but when it comes to trucks, and knowing just how much ######## goes into working for the money to fix or modify something, I'll always give a straight answer.

I think with the isx and rear ratio you'd thoroughly enjoy the " bail me out" 13 speed.

No way I'd put a 10 speed back in it.

image.jpg image.jpg Well I whimped out. Turns out the units I was looking at were refreshed units (read best used parts they could find). So I ended up going with a eaton factory reman 10 speed. I wanted a 13 real bad but the truck has not made a dime yet so this will have to do. I meen there are probly more 10 speeds on the road than anything. So rear main seal, easy pedal cluch kit, clutch brake, eaton reman trans and oil for $4k on the button. I did both motor mounts while trans was out at $200 each.

What was the price difference between a 10 and a 13?

When your talking doing the swap its more the cost of the core. If I went with the eaton reman 13 with the 10 core it would have been $6100 instead of the $2900. So double the trans price. When I was first looking there was only $1500 diffrence that's what got the juices flowing. But not REALY intrested in putting in a used trans in at this time. This is my first truck and I haven't hauled one load with it yet so don't have a huge maintence fund built up or anything yet.

    Thanks for the comments.
