    If the ArsTechnica article was factually correct Amazon is gonna have to pony up.

    None of those drivers will see a bucket of money. The lawyers will see to that. But it will make Amazon fire whatever numbskull thought that treating employees as 1099 was a bright idea.

    1099 only works if you can work for anybody at any time. I work for you this morning, for Bob after lunch, and Ralph tomorrow

    I'm a huge fan of 1099 work, but with that said I did it for years and would never allow myself to become employee-ized. defeats the entire purpose. IRS definition of behavioral control is pretty easy to understand, hillarious how many look the other way /. don't care.
