I have a 2013 prostar with the maxx13 and today in the cold when i went out and started it the wipers came on and also the washers started spraying, i played with the switch and everything and nothing stopped them, shut key off and they stopped turned key on and they started again. I started the truck and they did it again, i poped the breaker out of the washer motor and this stopped the washer spray but the wiper kept going. i was in the process of popping the breaker when they stopped on their own. replaced the washer breaker and everything was fine. did this one other time about 2 months ago during a very heavy rain. had to put them on high and when the rain let up the wipers would not stop. did same thing then with the breakers. Any ideas? Its still warrenty but dont want to spend a week in the shop while they chase for solutions to this, I have lost all faith in my home shop to repair problems. I wont even let them do basic maint on it now.

You probably have a short in the wiper washer circuit where the wires run along the front of the truck and/or along the side near the washer fluid container. When you removed the breaker for the washer pump, did you let the wipers finish their sweep cycle? When you push the wiper washer button on the end of the lever the body controller will see that signal and turn on the wipers. It will cycle the wipers about 4 more sweeps afters the signal is gone for the washer request to clear the windshield. This can fool diagnostics if you remove the breaker, see the wipers are still going, and put the breaker back in before the sweep cycle ends. Now you just restarted the wash cycle all over again. Next time this happens, leave the breaker out and see if the wipers do stop on their own after about 4 sweeps. Usually the washer pump wiring has rubbed through on ABS wires or whatever in that harness. I just run new wires straight to the washer pump from the firewall connector.

Dude. It's a pro star. They made that truck so complicated they come from the factory with gremlins under the dash wrecking havoc. didn't the old china man tell you don't ever feed it after midnight or let it near water.
Edit to add:heavyd just gave some real constructive advice, start with what he suggested by running new wire.lots of character and Heavyd Thank this. -

The wiring along the steering column from the signal/wiper switch likes to rub and cut through where steering column tilts. Check the wires there too for any chaffing.

I still think it's cause you fed the gremlin after midnight.
