Gary. til 0700 then I leave for live unload and live load 53 miles away. PU load is going to Norwich Ct., Monday delivery Only home to reset and prep for next week.

Had planned on South Beloit but the shipper gave my load to Cox Transport because he didn't check the pickup number. Cox was just about to leave and a 5 ring circus ensued between me, Cox, the owner, his daughter, the broker, the consigned, and Schneider. It all got straighted out, but spent three hours getting loaded as they had to pull together a second shipment.

On the plus side as I pulled into my delivery earlier this afternoon the box planner sent me a mee saying they wer going to Bob tail me out because they didn't think.there were any empties available. If there were taken one and update Ops.

Maybe just maybe the box planners are getting their stuff together.

 

Must have started using outside contractors for box planning.

 

I got the same message on my drop this morning. Of course....there were empties at my drop.

 

Ohhhh , wait a second it IS SNI box planning.

The giveaway was they dont know where their trailers are!!!!

 

I think Schneider enjoys playing games with us or they are really dumb.
I mean there's some really stupid things that keep happening.

Last three loads...

Open window delivery for live unload, changed night before for early morning set appointment and call from ICA wondering if I can still do it.

Next load.. open window "live load" with pick up number being a trailer number. I get there and it's a drop and hook.
Was supposed to be a drop and hook for DEL but get last second message telling me they are short on empties and NOT to pull an empty out of there.
I get there and see this is a dairy place with ALL reefer trailers everywhere and we only bring them pallets.. asked them if they ship with Schneider.... "no".
So it's pointless for them to have our empties. Thus more Schneider BS.
Saw one a TA94 POS so I didn't want it anyway lol.

Last load was a small window drop and hook, I get there and find out there's no windows or appointments.... can pick up the load whenever. Another load where Schneider just makes up times.

When I was a company driver at two previous places this kind of crazy unorganized BS would never happen.
It's nearly daily here.
Well Crete did sometimes tell us fake appointments so we'd be more productive but that's about it.

 

I can't say I've run into much of that but then again I'm running a lot of the same accounts, but even today for example my ICA messaged me at noon to let me know my 1600 preload was ready early.

That was a first.

 

Yeah things to run smoother doing the same loads.. all those were new loads I did.
