Anyone know more about this? Im really interested but recruiters dont seem to know anything about it. Keep telling me to just apply when I just want to know more about the sponsorship.

Hard to read, but probably the program where they send you to University of Arkansas @ Newport and stay in a hotel while going through the CDL school there.
KLLM Transport and Southern Refrigerated Transport do the same. KLLM @ Hinds Community College in Mississippi and Southern Refrigerated @ University of Arkansas in Texarkana,AR. -
Precisely! Thanks know of anyone that have gone that route? Any advice?
-
Haven't read any posts of drivers that went that route with Maverick. Saw a good post the other day about Maverick orientation though; I'll look for it and post it to you if I can find it.
Well, couldn't find the post. What I will say though is, it would take someone with a lot more patience that I have just for the orientation process.Last edited: Oct 30, 2015

My husband went, he is at 5 months solo on the road now. They treat you Great there, & have an awesome training program!! It is a good way to get into the industry in my opinion. Depending on how much money you need to make if you will stay around for long after your 6 month contract is up. You sign a 6 month contract to work there at .38 cents per mile to pay off the training the gave you. Good luck, they are very nice there.

oh also there is a guy who works there who seems to be doing great & making decent money, & he videos ALL his loads everyday!! lol We watched him as he started a few months before my hubby. We can't make the money he makes due to all the insurance deductions & so on, & he does not take any out due to his Military past. so he is able to do pretty well. Check him out on you tube to get a birds eye view of that work & company. his name is Dale Clay.

I'm very interested but the program seems to be new or something. How much is your husband making weekly? If you dont mind me asking. Also how much he spent during training? I've been told they pay for travel, food, and lodging during school and orientation but other that what others expenses did he have. I also think they are a great company and I'm looking forward to work for them. Have read many good reviews about them all over the internet which is hard to accomplish since almost everyone just uses reviews to complain.
Anyway I'm relocating with my family to their hirig area and I just want to have as much information as possible on hand before taking any decisions.
Thanks again for replying I'm looking forward to hear more about this opportunities and any advice is always welcome.
forgive any spelling errors... #### autocorrect lol -
I'm looking forward to get into the glass division at Texas been told by recruiter that once i go solo I can get .45 cpm I need to make near $1000 weekly in order for this carrer to be reasonable for me.

Yeah I've seen almost all his videos haha
lisamomof4boyz Thanks this. -
You moving to Texas?
If Maverick doesn't work out for you paycheck wise, then prepare for hazmat/tankers. Lots of that work in Texas and shouldn't have any problems making over a thousand a week.
Have a backup plan in place so you won't have to worry about what's next.
Get the hazmat/tanker endorsements plus a TWIC ID card and passport. These are money in the bank and will allow you to change to a better company if the need arises.
Keep this list for future reference:
SVTN
Superior Carriers
Tidewater Transit
Groendyke Transport
Trimac Transportation(some drivers in their Elite Fleet make over $100K)
