Change weight? As in how to slide your tandems to make your load legal?

Simply pull the tandem pin on the trailer and getout after every move to see where you are. Only move back or forward in small increments and when you have it kick the pin in and back/pull up till it locks.

Plus have your trailer breaks on.

If your trailer isn't marked. You count about 10 feet from your DOT bumper to the middle of the last axle on trailer tire. You'll get less heat from DOT with tandems set up that way. If you are really heavy, make sure you put tandems in correct position as I mentioned and get a CAT scale ticket. Just in case the scales ask for it. Thanks

You can shift weight by sliding your tandems and your fifth wheel. Depending on how heavy you are and where you can move the weight to.
12\34\34 is the legal weight limit unless permitted for more. Get scale ticket from your shipper or the nearest CAT scale and go from there.
