Truckers get a raise

I live in rural Oklahoma where they still carry your groceries to the car and are not allowed to accept a tip. it shocked the hell out of me the first time they did it my wife laughed and had to tell me it was part of there job. coming from a big city you just do not expect customer service like that. When you use self check out the store receives extra profit by not having to pay employees to do the job you are more then willing to do. Not only that someone who is willing to work cant. I am not against self checkouts but just give me a discount, hell i get a 5 cent discount if i bring my own bag

 

They do that at an IGA near my home....heck I think the sign for the store is like from the early 1960s...old fashioned customer care

 

Agreed! I refuse to use self check out. Of they want my money I need a person to at least not talk to me. I refuse to not be talked to and treated poorly by a machine.

 

The workers get paid for whatever they do. It's not like they had to hire somebody just to put @Canned Spam 's stuff back on the shelf

I think it's hysterical how you "refuse" to use the machine. you're going to have a very rough life in the future when almost everything is automated! "I refuse" LOL. "Well I'll be darned if I'm using that horseless carriage" lol

The Reality is when you do a job that requires almost no skill and that everybody on the planet can do you're lucky to ever see a raise.
