hey everyone, I got a 03 classic with a 12.7 Detroit, I noticed while pulling a hill, when you get to the top and let off the pedal I get a vibration under my feet. I had the shop look at the driveshaft but he says everything's all good. I tried explaining the problem but he doesn't know. It does it all the time, could it be a week injector? He looked at the motor mounts and nothing. I just can't think what the prob could be, it's been aligned all new tires. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

How is the clutch free play and are the trans. and flywheel housing bolts tight? Search vibrations and such on this sight and you can find a long list to start working off. There is a 04 Columbia around that's had a vibration it's entire used truck life. It's has had clutch, trans, front joints, rear shaft, and all the tires replaced as needed. Not because of the vibration. It can be felt parked when accelerated. Could be the nature of the beast.

I had a vibration exactly like what you are describing. I know you said you had the driveshaft checked, but mine was a bad u-joint. It didn't seem bad while under heavy throttle, but it was worse as I let off of it.

New puzzle pieces: Vibration is new and you are not new to the truck. Sounds like a drive train problem to me. Loose yoke, out of phase, improper inclination ( carrier bearing mounting, air bag height), gap at front of trans housing on top, nut loose on pinion shaft in bottom of power divider. Search, identify, and repair the problem. All other programs can be very expensive.

I can sometimes feel the vibration in the pedal and can so times hear it through the transmission. Thanks for the input. The truck also has a hop in the front end it bounces up and down while bobtail, there was another truck that did that and it had s bad injector, that's what the mechanic was leaning towords. But I'm more agreeing with you.
