I'm sorry squeak I should bring you a meal.
-
When I stay there I order the best Italian food outside of San Francisco from Bella Luna so I've never eaten at the Black Bear . Is it any good ?
-
That Black Bear has great food and service. I ate there last week. Now I have to try Bella Luna!

I had that same issue with my qualcomm, after so many years of sitting over the vent, with ac or heat, the touch screen just finally gave out. I used to use the onscreen screen, but took it to a shop and they replaced the until in the cab for free and it only took about 5 mins to do it. Now no more hassles with the screen freezing up and not working.

Otay Mesa terminal.
Well, if anything could go wrong today, it did.
From closed roads making me detour to accidents and traffic and a leak in an air line, and a few other things as well.
I had a load that picked up at a rail yard (an intermodal trailer), then 3 stops at post offices.
The pick up was about 30 miles away (with a stop at Jurupa to drop my mt), the first stop about 45 from there by 0800.
I left the truck stop at 0400 trying to get ahead of traffic and time, but it didn't work. So much went wrong that it ate up all that extra time that I had tried to build in.
I made it with 3 minutes to spare for the first stop, was 10 minutes late for the second and 45 late for the final.
But it was scheduled 0800 for the first in City of Industry, 1000 in Santa Ana, and 1200 in San Diego for the final. No way was I going to get to the final on time, unless the second stop could unload in 15 minutes.
I had 51 minutes left on my 70 when I got to the final, and I had to either find somewhere to park or get to Otay Mesa within that time. Well, there is no place to park around San Diego. No Walmart allows it, no truck stops, even the Costco next to my final would not let me.
So I headed for here.
I made it with 2 minutes left on my 70, so at least that worked out.
Just after I reached the final I got a phone call from the guy in charge of the intermodal stuff.
He wanted to thank me for helping out with the intermodal and to say what a great job I did. He was very pleased that I got to each stop so promptly, even through all the LA traffic and tight schedule.
He sent his thanks in a QC message as well.
That was very nice, I must say.
And I got to touch base with my DM. The last time was over 2 years ago.
I was also able to meet another of the DM pod that has been so good to me. It was nice to actually meet Nick after all this time.
So while it was a nerve wracking day, it turned out to be a good day after all.inkeper Thanks this. -
Frank, I will tell you that if you order one of their platters you better be real hungry. I have gotten to the point that I have to order the seniors, about half the size. Plus is staying at this hotel you get 10% Discount, plus they have nice specials all the time and the AYCE fish fry on Friday is great and this hotel has about 50 spaces for truck and trailer parking as long as staying

So I ran 291 empty and 2249 loaded last week, almost 11.5% empty. After doing the calculations it looks like I still came out about $10 better than the new pay plan. The new fuel rebate is .017 compared to the .182 on the old plan.

Also if you do have a usb mouse I have one for my laptop. If it does that you can plug it in on the left side of Qualcomm it has a usb port it will work move the pointer on the screen. I used it when my Qualcomm would act funny on the touch screen.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

I didn't have many hours to work with today so it was fairly short.
I picked up a load about 4 miles from the Otay Mesa terminal headed to Tracy, CA for a 0800 delivery tomorrow.
I got a message from my DM to divert to the Jurupa terminal and then call him. I knew what was coming.
Yup, a random.
So I did that and headed out.
I got over the Grapevine then stopped at the TA with 1 minute left on my 70. It was a good thing I only have 7k in the box, the hills didn't slow me down very much.
I'll be back driving at 0300 to make the delivery.
