I did the same thing but 19 over. I paid it. Did find a good job, but also got turned down for a few. I think you should fight it

 

13 over is not a career ender. If your record is otherwise clear you can take the hit and should not have any serious issues. You might get notified of a car insurance increase. However if you already have some other moving violations on your record you might want to either fight it or see if you can get the ticket changed to a non moving violation. My concern is your lead foot. If you desire a long career with a good company you really need to slow down.

 

You might be able to go to traffic school and get it reduced to a non-moving violation. check with the traffic court and see if that option is available, it is the least costly option.

 

If you don't have your CDL, then take the class so it won't show up on your record.

Yes, driving school might be an option. I have a question. Were you driving a car or truck? I'm assuming you were in your auto. However if you were in a truck then your class A permit is part of the ticket and driving school might not be an option. If you can't get the ticket fixed you really need to make sure any prospective employer is told of the ticket. Every year a carrier is required per FMCSA regulation 391.25 to run your DMV. If you don't provide this information and later on during your yearly review its found, its grounds for you to be fired. Edited to add I have seen drivers fired because of this. Stay on top of this and slow down!
