No, I don't have a Maxxforce any longer, I now have a cummins but I had something like this when I had one. The Turbo would sound like a Police car if I pushed on and off the Accel. Ended up the HPer turbo was shot, It was only building a quarter of the the boost needed. Also on MaxxForce motors they are known to blow those turbos like candy, Its not unusual to change one out and 6 months later have it blow again.

Without the HPer Turbo working correctly the truck CANT build heat to start a regen, It has to use it to build to 500-600 then uses the dozer for the rest.

    FedExBob Thanks this.

I can't get it to move by hand or pry. Will remove it to see if arm is stuck. Im on the road and dealer gets $120 an hour for seemingly nothing, at least the dealer in my city

Try cleaning pressure differential tubes (rubber tubes on dpf). Are you losing coolant?

So far no. Understanding how it all works together helps to figure what when how system works. Dealer can hook software and drive and watch soot levels.

Thanks for your help I'm happy to hear you got it resolved. I'm sure my differential pressure switch on the DPF is pluged up. My reading under load 1300RPM is between
    0.02 to 0.04 and at 600 RPM 0.01
I have to assume because the switch is working / changing values and there are no fault codes the tubes must be plugged.
This weekend I will try to blow them out and take another reading. A good reading is 1.5 to 2.0 From what I've read.

Thanks for your help. I did some research and found my truck had the turbo and egr cooler replaced by the dealer under warranty. I believe my diff pressure switch on the DPF is plugged I'm getting supper low readings .001 at 600 rpm to .004 at 1200 rpm I'm going to try cleaning it this weekend.

    Fajo Thanks this.

Spoke too soon, just had to do a regen! Two and a half days since last regen. Trading this crap for a cummins or detroit!

Ask your dealer if they will contact their warranty rep and ask for policy or customer good will towards the repair. They may agree to cover some of the parts and or labor. If they refuse to cover anything, I would trade it. Enough is enough.
