This just limits the companies that will hire you, but doesn't stop you from being hired.

Ask Chinatown. He thinks he could get Scott Peterson in at Carolina Cargo.

I do t see how a 14 year old misdemeanor would stop anyone from hiring you, especially if charges were dismissed. Honestly, what I would do before going further is find out how you can take care of it, because if it was dismissed, it is preventing you from employment unfairly.

Don't bother good sir what you have in here is a real special breed of Christian trucker that does not drink or smoke they married their highschool sweetheart had wonderful children and have lived a perfect fairytale life they do not give advice they only take what you say criticize you and go to bed feeling superior because they have never done anything in their life Christ himself would not do, don't look for their advice just take their scorn and disgust and live with your shabby self.

as i understand it now, after looking at my background report and asking questions, arrests and some citations will appear on criminal and/or mvr records. since i wasn't arrested, i don't need to have it expunged, simply request to the judge that it be removed. the court also told me that any arrest, regardless of the result [guilty/dismissed/sentence/etc], even when expunged, will show up as charge arrested for, with a result of dismissed, but that no details are available. that could actually be worse than the details showing up for some. i don't know, it doesn't apply to me. i just found it ironic that i had 1 parking ticket and zero run ins with the law in 17 years of being a legal adult, and its THIS that dq'd me? sounds weird to me. i had 1 employer for the last 8 years (good factory forklift job), and the same house for the last 7. doesn't make sense to me.

Some companies will dig up your great grandma's old dead bones to examine if someone might have had a drink too many 320 years ago. This is why you must make sure you're good. I feel for you on this one. Hasn't happened to me, but if it's true, it's really unfair.

@Big Papaxx can probably give the best advice since he's recently researched something similar.

I think you just hit a snag that really isn't that serious my advice jump back into it with a different school and be up front and I think you will be fine .
