I see a lot of post office drivers driving wrecklessly in old beat up trucks pulling delapidated trailers. The vehicles do not look like they could pass dot regulations. Do usps trucks and drivers have to follow dot regs or are they above the law?

Uh, that would be reckless, not wreckless. Two different animals. USPS uses contractors, and they are subject to the regs like everybody else

I don't know if the rules we run under applies to them or not. If they don't then there must be internal USPS rules that do. If you think these operations are dangerous get video evidence and give it to USPS management.
