With ISX 870 and newer the engine brake selection switch has absolutely nothing to do with which cylinders are braking or not. When you select position 1, you are requesting 33% engine braking load, position 2 is 67% engine braking load and 3 is 100%. The ECM will monitor intake pressure, turbocharger speed and exhaust back pressure and determine how much load the engine is able to absorb versus driver demand during engine braking and will command the turbo to act like an exhaust brake and/or engage the compression brakes in whatever combination it finds best for the current operating condition. So there are times you will not hear the same engine brakes coming on even though the switch is in the same position.

Factory. I used the vin from a ih truck with the pyro gauge to order the parts from the dealer. I spent around US $900 for the parts. My dealer gave me the schematic.
Parts: gauge,gauge bezel, wire harness, transducer, sensor for the exhaust pipe.
I tried to find an exhaust pipe with the pyro bung? (the piece that is welded to exh pipe where the pyro threads into) for my c13 cat but couldn't. Had to fabricate.
It was plug and play. It was kind of a pain to fish the harness behind the dash. You'll have to pull the fuse box forward to fish the sensor harness through the firewall and plug the wire harness into the fuse box.charlie1403 Thanks this. -

Yep I've got one on one of the Macks I own, two gauges, one for manifold temp and the other for post turbo. I think they all have them in front of the turbo when ordered I don't see the need for it post turbo when the turbo takes the beating.charlie1403 Thanks this.
