I did my OTR training with KLLM when I first got my license and passed all written and driving tests. They didn't have a truck for me so I found work for a local company I worked there 2 years hauling and delivering mulch in the city and surrounding counties. Since then I've been out in West Tx. oil fields for 3 years driving a vacuum tanker hauling water and oil.Work has gone to nothing since oil prices are half what they were 3 yrs. ago.Very little home time for this job away for 6 to 8 wks at a time. Not sure where to start looking ,I do know I don.t want to be away from my family driving otr .
An ideal job would allow me to be home daily ,possibly a 150-250 mile run with deliveries to a dedicated customer. I live in Central TX ,any feedback would be appreciated.
Need advice on my next move

Thinking serious about the fuel transport ,don' have a hazmat but could get it easily.
I assume my tanker experience would count ? -
Should count; put on the application you were driving tankers in the oil fields.
