I carry daily, everywhere I go. Since the laws are not on my side everywhere, I go only where the law permits me to carry. If that means only intrastate or local work, fine, but I will not surrender my rights for a paycheck. Especially now when the cops are "the bad guys" and thugs are "victims."

They make LHDs, too, for places like Central and South America.KMac Thanks this.

The older cabovers where you had to reach across to the door from the steps were a nightmare. The more modern designs with the setback front axle have the steps right below the door and are very easy to get in and out of.

Comfort of a 30 year old cabover doesn't even begin to compare to the new ones. Sure there is still some bouncing as you are sitting over the front axles, but the air ride cabs do a good job of minimizing it.
When I was in school, they had 4 old 70's era Kenworth cabovers. I used to do everything in my power to avoid being assigned one of those when we were out on the road. The Volvo FL cabover I drove for 4 years after was a dream and nothing at all like those old dogs. -
Truck drivers are simply people, with regards to firearm laws. You have to comply with the firearm laws in EVERY jurisdiction you travel through. Having or using your CDL is irrelevant. If some town in NY wants to prohibit guns within 500 yards of a school and the school is next to your customer, you break the law when you come closer than 500 yards of the school.
The closest thing to a "carry everywhere" license is being a cop or retired cop, as far as I know. Is it NJ or Chicago that outlaws hollow-point ammo? Just having one of those bullets in a locked box inside your sealed trailer could land you in jail. Carry or don't carry, there's no shortcut to be legal.
