Driving a tour bus is a lot of fun. Get to see some different things. When I did the company was the charter for the West Virginia football team. Got to go to the games for free and even stand down on the field during the game. Money wasn't great and think it was more of a part time gig, like I did it, or for someone retired needing extra income.

Go on Craigslist and find a local job that pays decent and stick with it for a couple of years. Most well-paying positions want at least 1 - 2 years of verifiable experience. Don't think you can't fall into a decent-paying job off the bat, though. A lot of dump truck/cement truck companies train new drivers and pay decent. You also gain a "specialty" skill in doing those particular kinds of jobs and that usually leads to more $ in the end. This is why I'm glad I jumped straight into flatbed after I got my A a few years back. I recently started doing LTL dry van but I definitely miss flatbed and will return soon enough.
