I looked around on the web trying to find a customer review, No luck yet. Some where somebody has to have one.

 

Jack, I already have three cb's, I'm not buying this one until I know it works and it has the weather channels, with are very important to me.

 

Money isn't really the issue, I really like to have the weather channels, they help me avoid thunderstorm, specificly HAIL, hauling cars on a open rack I do not want any hail damage!!!!!

 

There is a review in the new roadking magazine. Seems like the guy gave it a good review. Reliability is what I am worried about. I had heard that the cobra regular 29s that are going on sale at the Pilots for $69 are actually refurbished and it akes a couple of swaps before you get a good one. I hope these aren't gonna be like that.

Someone else asked me why not just get a BT headset. Well they run about $100 and I need a new cb and a good one will run over $100 so this would be like the two birds one stone thing. As far as the weather I have a deal where I can get radar, warnings, and other such info on my cell which is better than the weather radio which I do have on my CB.

 

I just can't make myself want to where a headset, so I think this would be pretty cool, I forgot you could get the radar over the cell, I'll have to price that out..

 

Jack...I asked you a question in another thread about this radio earlier....I didn't know this one was going.The question was price and it's been answered.I realize the safety factors and all with the headsets,but man,do they look retarded.I look stupid enough as is so I can't bring myself to wear one on top of looking like I already do,but I think this radio would be cool if it worked as it should.Wall,I use a cheap bearcat scanner for my weather radio,you can pick a good one up off ebay for near nothing, plus it has a few other advantages too.I've ran one for years and never had any trouble about it.The only disadvantage to the scanner that I could see is if you slip seat and have to change it in and out.Wouldn't be worth the hassle in that case imo.

 

Not all bt head gear look stupid...there are a lot of nice ones that fit in your ear and not on top of your head.
With the new laws out there...CA for instance...As of the 1st of July...Smokey does not need any other reason to pull over if they see you w/ phone in hand they can pull over and write you a citation...One other thing for CA if you have a minor under the age of 18 in your rig and you are smoking...You Guess It Smokey can nail you for this too!!!.
Sorry! to bug but I rather warn my fellow brothers and sisters about CA new rules.
