As far as we know he just wants a new toy? It's his money...

10 feet is really small when your truck is 8.5 feet wide. You can do it, no problem. But it's a tiny space. Personally I'd rather have more room. Because with 18 inches on either side, NOTHING will happen in that garage except getting into and out of that truck.

Why build a shed for your house? Is it gonna be a show truck with an extended frame? or you plan on being on the road for 11 months at a time or is this a straight truck. And if its a WS it might have a good radius since daimler got em. Just my 2 centsJohn Drury said: ↑My question is: will my truck (29-ft long)Click to expand...

I have a Western Star. Should be no problem. Keep in mind, the mirror assembly folds in also. Better check the zoning laws. Even though it's going to be inside a garage there may be a town ordinance for no commercial vehicles on your property.

You should have enough driveway with some effort but i would definitely go wider than 10ft that close to the house on something stretching out 29'. Maybe 14'. Leave your self some room for error.

10' is the door width. Not the width of the garage.Jubal3 said: ↑10 feet is really small when your truck is 8.5 feet wide. You can do it, no problem. But it's a tiny space. @John Drury Have you given any thought to your current driveway? Driveways are generally designed for passenger cars and light trucks. While your typical driveway can normally handle a bobtail parked on it from time to time, I would be concerned about making multi-point turns on a regular basis on it. The sideways dragging of an axle set can do a lot of damage over time. Not so much on concrete. But will eat up an asphalt surface. On a concrete drive, you'll find out where the concrete is thin or where the gravel base is weak in short order.
White_Knuckle_Newbie Thanks this. -
I built a garage 2 years ago with 10 foot doors (width). I wish I had made them all 12 at some point during day 2, lol.
