Ive got a year experience pulling dry van and reefer, and now want to try some flatbed trucking.
Which companys hire relatively new drivers, and can provide, the most consistant miles?
I live in the north east, but will run for months at a time,if the freight is available.
Thanks.

Not saying either are the best but Maverick and TMC have pretty good training programs. Not sure if either hire out of the northeast though.

A post this week said TMC is installing driver facing cameras.

I heard that too. They tend to go after any technology that might save them legal fees. So, not surprised. When I was there my truck had the lane departure and vorad stuff on it. Also, had some sort of deal on it that was to help keep it from rolling over.Greatest.Driver.On.Earth! Thanks this.

That is correct chinatown. They are saying they are only installing in trucks in which they have a question of his skills whether that is experience or being late or having a couple of incidents.. Not sure but they do not come out and tell you. I was talking with them and then heard about the cameras. I called the recruiter back and thats how he explained it... Said he has been instructed not to mention the cameras unless he is asked..Greatest.Driver.On.Earth! and Chinatown Thank this.

TMC is also testing atuo transmissions. They have gotten in about 50 of them so far... again they say they are only testing and have not made a decision..Greatest.Driver.On.Earth! Thanks this.

I'm from "just North of Nashville."
Lone Star Transportation out of Ft. Worth would be even better, but not sure if they hire from Northeast.Greatest.Driver.On.Earth! Thanks this. -
Do you remember ExpressCo ; flatbed company in Nashville? I drove for them years ago.
Wild days back then. That was a two logbook type driving company with lots of California runs.
Wayne Wise owned the company and later started Western Express. He's dead now, but I really liked the guy; really laid back.
