Why can't people understand that what works for one person may not work for another. Hope HT keeps posting.

    HAWAIIANTHRIVER and mountaingote Thank this.
  4. Hey guys,
I'm still here at A&A Express...I've got no excuse for not posting more regularly other than the fact that I've had a lot going on. 3 days from now make 2 months with company. So far, I'm stoked. I'm treated very fairly. My loads have been consistent and at good rates. It is still taking some adjusting to A&A's style of doing business, but nothing I can't adjust to. It seems for me, the biggest change is that on the weekends you're pretty much on your own...which makes sense because of the percentage we get paid and how few people work in the office. But other than between the hours of 7-10 a.m. on saturday, once Friday 5pm hits, the lights go out and you do what you gotta do to get thru the weekend. There is an after hours emergency contact to handle any type of advance issue, ie.,lumpers or trailer repair advances. Also, it seems that Reinhart foods loads pay the best so far, so you can imagine which loads I am clamoring for every chance I get. But the biggest positive for me at this stage of my career is knowing my number. My bottom line number...based on my needs before anything is deducted every month. Knowing that based on an average of 10k miles a month or 2500 miles a week, I know that I need $1.13 a mile or $11,300 a month gross revenue. That's been big for me mentally, to know that number. I'm okay eating 300 miles of deadhead to pick up a load that pays $1.35 per loaded mile as long as I stay on pace with monthly expectations. I've always been a hard worker, and now I feel like I'm finally getting a decent grasp of the financial side of this game. That combo has proven to be very motivating for me in terms of looking a year or 2 or 3 into the future. I'll do my best to try and stay more active on this thread. To those guys that have sent me nessages, I assure you that my tardiness on this thread has nothing to do with the guys on this post that aren't necessarily the most supportive people...I've really don't have an excuse other than other things deemed more important. Aloha.

    Hey Hawaiianthrive

I'm considering coming over to A&A Express. I have been talking to a number of drivers at A&A Express. I delivery at some of the same customers you guys do. I'm in the reefer division for a well known mega carrier and looking to make a change next month to start 2016 off fresh. I would like to PM you for.additional questions.

  7. I'll help any way I can.

Question does A&A Express still have some customers in Las Vegas nv?

  9. I personally have not delivered to or driven thru Las Vegas with A&A. That being said, I've been to Ontario twice and Riverside for deliveries. What's that, about a 250 mile deadhead? I could have run this load thru vegas, but I decided to run I-40 to Hwy 54 in tucumcari.

    jaso37 Thanks this.
