Lumpers and "reefer places" aren't all bad. But it's easy work. Carrier pays all lumpers when applicable. But the reefer gig is all dependent on where you work. But if it's miles you want with minimal or no wait between loads, reefer is the only way to go. But like other segments of trucking, reefer isn't for everybody.
A lot who complain about the reefer side have never pulled reefer or pulled at the wrong place. -
I liked pulling reefers. Not going to meat packing plants made it pretty good.

I had good luck with reefer work, but I liked petro tank the most. Only took 10 minutes to load, no heavy lifting (as a rule), easy unloads even if it was a pump-off. Best part is you don't have to clean out the tank between loads. Other types of tanks can be a real pain for that reason

I pulled tanks OTR my first three years of driving and loved it. I recently started a local job pulling dry vans/reefer. It's not bad, but when I see a tanker or flat, I have to admit I get jealous and feel a little bit ghay
