My husband and I share a truck. We have private conversations about finances and family. We do all the things that married people who still like each other do. There is no way, no how that I will accept a driver facing camera or enable sound on a dash cam.

Best to assume it's on 24/7 and being monitored.
Some companies have 3rd party monitors and the 3rd party notifies the company if they see or hear something they think the company should know about.

There's a orange/yellow light that comes on that's built into the Qualcomm. When it comes on,someone in HQ is checking in on the truck. The only other time that light comes on is during "self-test mode",when the ignition is turned on to start the truck.
