So an update on us. My husband isn't a happy camper. He's averaging $1.40 a mile, all miles, and 2500 miles a week over the last three weeks. It's all fine and dandy, but we want more. He's been trying, but they just aren't getting him anything or taking all day to even get back to him, so he sits. Those 2500 miles on average each week is pushing it on the days he isn't sitting. He sat at the yard all last weekend waiting for something and they are going to make him sit at the yard this weekend, too.
So yeah, not sure this is going to work for us. If he's going to be away from home, he needs to be working. He's already thought about just going back up to haul crude in North Dakota...itaff Thanks this. -
I don't drive for brueneger or anything but I enjoy the thread...totally feel for you @gjcarr03 I get the same thoughts about heading back to North Dakota to haul crude. That's just such a miserable place to be that I cringe even pondering goin back. I'm pulling for you guys and I hope things start trending better for you. North Dakota is no place to go back to
mountaingote and itaff Thank this. -
Yeah, I don't want him going back. The money was just as inconsistent, but it was great when it was good. But the time away from home...that alone is why I don't want him going back. Going 6-7 weeks without seeing each other sucks!

I'm bummed to hear this, I sent George an e-mail and told him to contact Parker!! I think the issue is he is not getting preloaded.. I know he is sending e-mails to them and is trying to work with dispatch.. I run into this same issue but I refuse to let them forget about me, I will call them every 1/2 hour so they will get tired of me calling and give me a load..
Can he leave the load he has now at the yard and get a California load??
I know it's tough with freight slowing down but I sure want to see him kick this places butt.. -
They told him they don't have anything coming out till Tuesday. And also, he's been trying to get a hold of Kenny the past two days, come to find out this afternoon that Kenny is off... And yeah, I keep saying that is the problem, him not getting preloaded. He's been giving them a day or two notice before a drop and he still sits and waits.
He made more money on his last check from North Dakota than he's made in a whole week here. Those checks are the only reason we aren't belly up right now, but last weeks was the last one. -
Can he drop his current load at the yard?? I see loads out of areas all around Wichita, KS .. Maybe he can find one with a broker and have them book it tomorrow??
-
Hey Ivan, George says he will call you back! He's on the phone with me right now!
itaff Thanks this. -
And yeah, he is already dropping at the yard.
mountaingote and itaff Thank this. -
Unfortunately it sounds like the same old Bruenger I was telling you about when I first posted on here. This is what they have done repeatedly to people who are promised big money and fancy trucks.
itaff Thanks this.
