58 mph gusts at Arlington right now, and the cameras show a real mess.
I-80 is still closed.

I sent a new Mac 22 saying I would deliver tomorrow at 1200.
We'll see. But it should be clearing up some by morning.

 

I was freezing on the drive back from Houston. Had the ac off , just on vent, first day to twist the dial into the red.

Got back and jumped out to drop trailer.... WTF.. It's hot and humid??

 

Lancaster gave me an empty solution this morning, spent an hour scouring the yard to find out it isn't here. Picking up a toy load in Fort Worth to t-call at the black hole of suck known as Edwardsville.

 

WY DOT just declared an emergency and closed EB I-80 from Evanston to Cheyenne.
All the truck stops and parking are at or over capacity. Probably motels and such as well.

They have no idea when I-80 will reopen.

This little storm sure got out of hand fast. It seemed with every few hours things got worse and worse.
I'm sure glad I have a good place to hole up in. Looking at the cameras along I-80 there seemed to be places that trucks were parked along the highway trying to get to the off ramp, probably with no place to go from there.

My load has been rescheduled to deliver on Tuesday. I was told to t-call it in Denver, so at least I won't need to update with Mac 22 any more.

 

I just pulled in to that place to get a drink and clean my windshield.

 

A resort in Palawan, Philippines. Today I was taking a little nap and the other half comes back t the room and tells me that the management is upgrading our room. Large suit with outside dining area in the front and umbrella table outside the back door on the pool. This APEC summit is playing hell with my travel arrangements. Lots of flights in and out of Manila are being cancelled. Luckily mine was not one of them. Luckily I was able to get the same price on my room when I return. This place as a breakfast buffet that is in the price of the room and it is a killer and the night buffet, unreal. The other night prime rib and sauted prawns on it.

I waited until 0930 to head out this morning to let the winds die down a bit.
That part worked, but I got caught in a miles long jam along I-80. I lost nearly 2 hours due to that.

 

Hannibal, MO at a little lot 2 miles from Used Cardboard Boxes then grab a soup load back to Dayton, TX. Edwardsville had me planned before I even woke up this morning.

 

Moose , you got through in time to miss the 40 vehicle pileup between Laramie and Cheyenne including 33 trucks early this afternoon. The video I saw showed fast trucks suddenly appearing out of blowing snow and piling on a few hundred yards further on . Glad you're okay .
