On the flip side, all recruiters aren't bad and I don't think they are all liars.
The people that say that, will also say the same thing about salesman. Sales is a tough gig, I've done it and I don't envy recruiters.

I remember one thing from sales, 'buyers are liars." In the beginning of a typical conversation, a salesman has to get passed 3 lies, before he gets to the real objection.

my recruiter didn't really lie to me. many of the people in my orientation complaining about lieing were situations like the recruiter says "the orientation lasts 3 days then you will go with a trainer for 175 hours" and it turned out they had the trainers filled up and most people had to wait 4-5 days and everyones like oh how dare they tell me I would be going out with a trainer and now I have to wait, there is nothing variable in this industry and they should have 1000 trainers lined up just waiting in the back till im ready.

Most places aren't going to lie about major issues that don't chance such as the pay scale. but you may get told your going to get 2500 a week cause that's what they average and then they start and the freight starts to slow and they get 1800 and go awe I didn't get exactly what they said I could expect this industry is so stable they always have the perfect situation worked out to give everyone exactly the miles they said how dare they lie to me :( :( :(
