I see major LTL companies in these urban areas all the time needing help. Try Old Dominion , YRC , Saia , Wilson , Conway , Yellow , Southeastern, etc.
They pay around $20-$23 hr and have good benefits.
This is not EASY work.
Bumping many , many docks per day... hustle hustle hustle.
But , it's also not UPS stress , either.
If you're young and in decent shape , not scared of work , Pepsi or Coke , Budweiser or other beer distributors get you home every day and offer a decent living.
Food service companies also get you home often , like SYSCO or PFG.
