A Freightliner odometer will show 1,226,xxx. The tenth of a mile decimal point will dissapear when it hits a million miles. So no doubts if it's rolled over.
Your opinion on my first truck

WOW I had no idea, the truck looked like it had a fresh paint so now it makes much more sense.Wiley.Coyote Thanks this.

The odometer looks odd because the space between the last two digits is still there, but the decimal point dissapears.
I'm curious what it does if it ever hit 9,999,999, lolWiley.Coyote Thanks this. -
Probably go back to 000000 I'm not sure on trucks but i have seen that happen on small passenger cars.
Wiley.Coyote Thanks this. -
I bought a 92 ford ranger in 2013. Odometer only went up to 99,999. He claimed it had 42,000 original miles on it. Yea right it was at least 142,000 maybe eve. 242,000. It was beat to hell, but I only paid $700 for it, scrapped it for $450 a year later

Freightliner and a little motor no way!
Wiley.Coyote Thanks this. -
That ranger could have been a sweet 302 or 351 swap yet you destroyed it. Save the rangers save the foxbodies do not scrap!

I used to have a 1990 volvo 240dl i picked up for $800 the cluster showed 62k, not sure if i believed it but went for it anyways, this summer i sold it for $500 with 220k
still see it around.
Wiley.Coyote and chris887 Thank this. -
It destroyed itself. Check my location, I'm in the heart of the rust belt. This truck had a tough life. Still ran and drove. Rust holes everywhere, drivers door hinges rusted off. Floor under drivers seat gone, seat was h held in by 1 bolt you could feel it move over bumps. Bed bolts rusted away. Hole rusted through roof leaked water. Didn't feel safe anymoreWiley.Coyote Thanks this.
